The Headlands Caravan and Camping Park

In these Terms and Conditions:

    • “You” means anyone who is a guest that hires a caravan, pitch or electrical hook up pitch as per your booking
    • “you” and “your” refers to the “the guest(s)” as mentioned above
    • “we”, “our” and “us” refers to the park owner
    • “park” refers to The Headlands Caravan and Camping Park, Atlantic Road, Tintagel, Cornwall, PL34 0DE

You “The Guest(s)”

This contract is with The Headlands Caravan and Camping Park, Atlantic Road, Tintagel, Cornwall, PL34 0DE. A contract exists as soon as we have issued our confirmation of booking. You are to check this carefully to see that it reflects your wishes. Please inform us of any discrepancy within 7 days unless your holiday is to start within 14 days in which case you should inform us within 24 hours.

Booking, Deposits & Payments


  1. Bookings are accepted for holiday purposes only.
  2. Bookings must not exceed the stated person(s) when booked.
  3. We reserve the right to refuse any booking without any obligation to give a and / or reserve the right to terminate any booking for whatever reason at their absolute discretion.
  4. Bookings will only be accepted from adults. You are confirming you are over the age 18 and are responsible for your booking and any other person(s) stated in your booking.
  5. No parties of unaccompanied teenagers or single sex groups (3 persons or more) will be accepted upon booking.
  6. We agree to provide the accommodation from the caravan range booked. In exceptional circumstances we may not be able to provide the accommodation from the range booked and, in these cases, we will provide accommodation from a higher price category. We may agree to reserve a particular pitch within a caravan range however this is at our sole discretion and in extenuating circumstances your caravan pitch may be changed without notice. We accept no financial liability for changing pitches within the same range of accommodation.
  7. The accommodation and pitches are a fixed price at the time of booking and includes the relevant utilities to the pitch / caravan and VAT. These costs to the company may vary between booking and your stay, changes to these costs will not affect the price of the stay.
  8. Should you book a pitch and/or an electrical hook up pitch; the size of your unit, including any tents, cars, motorhomes, and gazebos, must be able to accommodate in the size of pitch booked which is stipulated at the time of booking. This ensures you have booked the correct size pitch for your holiday. Should you subsequently alter your requirements, we cannot guarantee to provide an appropriately sized pitch.
  9. We strongly recommend at the time of booking you ensure you have independent holiday insurance to cover any losses that may be incurred or due to unexpected cancellation by yourself or your holiday.

Deposits & Payments

  1. At the time of booking, you will be requested to make a 25% deposit payment to provisionally book your holiday.
  2. You will be requested to make payment in full 12 weeks prior to your arrival. Once payment has been received in full this will secure your booking.
  3. Any bookings within 12 weeks, you will be required to make payment in full
  4. Should payment not be received in full 12 weeks prior to your booking, we reserve the right to cancel your holiday. The holiday is liable to be rebooked with the loss of your deposit.
  5. Should you be staying in one of our Caravans, at the time of booking you will be requested to make a refundable “Good House Keeping Deposit” of £100.00 to cover any loss or damages during your stay. Upon departure, we reserve the right to withhold this payment until such time the caravan has been checked for any, loss, damages, stains, extra cleaning, and replacement of items. We will make any refunds within 7 days of departure.

Your Data

  1. The information you have supplied upon booking will be stored on computer for administrative purposes. Under no circumstances will this information be provided to a third party. We may from time to time wish to send you news of special offers on our park. If you do not wish to receive any communication from us, please inform us as soon as possible. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1984 the Booking signifies your assent to these terms.


    1. If you need to cancel for reasons of death, illness, redundancy or injury to you or any member of your party, or death illness or serious injury of a close relative after you have booked and before the start of your holiday, we will refund / credit your money paid as follows:
      • Provided we receive written notice of your cancellation 12 weeks prior to arrival we will refund your holiday and deposit fee.
      • If you cancel less than 12 weeks prior to your arrival you will not be refunded.
  1. In all cases cancellation must be accompanied by doctor’s note or other evidence. We regret that we cannot give refunds for accident / breakdown on your journey down to commence your holiday or for holidays cut short after arrival through accident / illness or any other reason. You are strongly advised to insure against these eventualities.
  2. If you must cancel or vacate your holiday during your stay for any reason including an emergency, no refund will be made.
  3. Should we be unable to provide the type of accommodation requested, we will refund any monies paid for the accommodation in full.

Covid 19 Cancellation

  1. Both “we or you” have the right to cancel your holiday, or any full unused days, if Government guidance means that you should not visit or stay with us, even if the law still allows you to do so.
  2. If your holiday has not started, then we will refund your booking as stated in paragraph a) should you have to cancel your holiday due to;
    • Government Guidelines*
    • Government travel restrictions*
    • Testing positive for covid 19*
    • Having to self-isolate due to encountering someone with covid 19*

*You will be requested to provide proof.

  1. If any of the above apply, you will be entitled to a refund as per paragraph a) under cancellations.
  2. Or you are entitled to transfer your holiday to an alternative date subject to availability. However, should there be an uplift fee due to peak season, you will incur the cost to secure your booking.
  3. If your holiday has started, then we will refund in full any full days unused when we cancel.


    1. You must report to reception upon arrival.
      • The check in time for Caravans are from: 4pm
      • The check in time for Electrical Hook up Pitches are from: 1pm
      • The check in time for all other pitches including touring are from: 1pm

This time cannot be guaranteed if there are extenuating circumstances beyond our control.

  1. Upon arrival onto any pitch or caravan, you must notify us of any issues, breakages, damages, supply issues and report to reception immediately.


    1. You must report to reception upon departure.
      • The checkout time for Caravans is before: 10am
      • The checkout time for Electrical Hook up Pitches is before: 11am
      • The checkout time for all other pitches is before: 11am
  1. Upon departure, please ensure all caravans and pitches are left in a clean and tidy condition.
  2. Please ensure any waste has been placed in black bin bags and left outside of your pitch area ready for collection.
  3. You must report any damages caused during your stay when checking out.


    1. The following items are provided with our caravan stays:
      • General cutlery, dinnerware, mugs, and glasses
      • Cookware such as pots and pans
      • Cleaning items such as hoover, sweeping brush and clothes hangers.
      • DVD player
      • Bed Linen, duvets, and pillows
      • 1 x Toilet roll
    2. All bedding and seats must remain in the caravans.
    3. Towels are not supplied.


  1. Only the persons on the booking stated may stay at the caravan. Over Occupancy will not be Tolerated.
  2. You agree that all persons named on the booking shall be with you during your hire period of the holiday caravan and/or pitch. The booking details are important because it is for you and your party’s safety and security purposes only.
  3. You shall notify us in writing with any changes to person(s) listed on the booking at the earliest possible opportunity and in any event, prior to arrival at the holiday park.
  4. You and anyone within your booking agree to follow all park rules whilst on site, should any member of your party not follow the park rules you may be asked to vacate the site with no refund.
  5. We reserve the right to ask guests who contravene these terms and conditions or, who in any other way are behaving in a manner likely to cause distress or nuisance to other visitors, to leave the park immediately. In these circumstances the holiday ceases and we shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you.
  6. We reserve the right to enter into any accommodation or pitch at any reasonable time for the purpose of checking condition, repairs, or any emergency.
  7. All persons staying on the park must conduct themselves at all times with due regard to the enjoyment and comfort of others.
  8. Smoking is prohibited inside the caravan’s, failure to comply will result in an extra cleaning fee of £100.00. Smoking is only permitted outside near to the wall mounted cigarette bins. All cigarette butts must be disposed of.
  9. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to your property by theft or otherwise or for personal injury, including vehicles left on site. This does not however affect your rights if loss or damage or personal injury occurred through fault on our part.
  10. Our full Health and Safety policy and Emergency Action Plan are available for inspection in Reception.
  11. The park is supplied with Wi-Fi and can be used during your stay. Please report to reception for any passwords you may require and our terms of use.


  1. Pets stated on the booking are allowed to stay on the park.
  2. If you are bringing your pet please provide its own bedding
  3. Pets are not allowed on the caravan seats or beds under any circumstances
  4. Dogs must be kept under control and must remain on a lead at all times whilst on the park.
  5. Fouling must be picked up immediately
  6. NO pets cannot be left in the caravan unattended


  1. If you have a complaint about anything during your holiday please raise it with a member of our staff immediately and if you wish to pursue it following your departure, please write to us within 28 days of your departure. However, we do suggest that you try and complete a report about the complaint whilst you are on holiday.
